Accomodation

If you would like accommodation during the courses, here is a list of B&Bs that are within a reasonable distance of Assington. Please make separate arrangements with the owners of the establishments listed below.

ASSINGTON MILL

Please note that there are no ATMs within 6 miles, but the farm shop in the village will do cashback if you spend a certain amount. We get all our food for the courses there; no need to go anywhere else. PETROL available at Boxford (3 miles) or at Colchester (10m) or Sudbury (6).

CAMPING is also possible at Assington Mill. Toilet and shower available in a wetroom; kitchen with two hobs and urn also available. £5 per night. We are not a proper camp site; this is just a facility for people coming on the courses. You can camp anywhere you like on the farm.

Mill Cottage is the only on-site accommodation (further details below) and can be booked through Grove Cottages

Assington

Assington Mill - Mill Cottage

We have a beautiful cottage in the farmyard complex, which has a double bedroom and sitting room upstairs, and a kitchen/hall and wetroom downstairs.  The boiler room can also be used as a drying room.  The building used to be part of the mill, maybe the office, and was converted in 2008.  It is heated by a ground source heat pump, which takes heat from the earth, and has a woodburning stove for extra cosiness.
