Learn the techniques of lime plastering a strawbale building: the lime cycle; suitable mixes, preparation of substrate, application and aftercare.
This is essentially a practical course but there will be some theoretical content where we hope you will have all your questions answered.
WHAT TO BRING
- Stout work boots
- Overalls (or long-sleeved top and long trousers that you don’t mind getting stained with lime)
- Waterproof coat and trousers that you don’t mind getting lime on
- Rain/sun hat and lotion
- Heavy duty marigold rubber gloves (2 pairs)
- Goggles
- Claw hammer
- Paper and pencil
- Water bottle
- Thermos flask labelled with your name
