Get up to speed in time for the summer holidays!  An outstanding photographic weekend at Assington Mill by landscape photographer, Jon Sturdy, will help you to do this.  Click on  his name to see more about him.

Jon invites you to come and meet him and experience a photographic shoot within the grounds of Assington Mill farm, using the beautiful scenery of a secret Suffolk valley, and exploring the flora and, maybe, the fauna.

With his energetic approach, let Jon enable you to create stunning personal pictures using digital cameras and software. This is very much a hands-on course. There won't be many lectures, though Jon will adapt his technical tuition to the requirements of the student.

All you need to bring is an open mind, wellies (think of long grass, nettles, shallow streams and bogs), any digital camera and bags of enthusiasm.

Be prepared to be flexible about times of attendance as Jon would like you to experience the special effects at dawn and dusk.

Comments from participants:

Very enjoyable course with nice people. Ivan&Carole

The theory session was especially good. The food was fantastic and Anne and Bob especially welcoming. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone I know what a great weekend I have had.

Things that were good (apart from location and catering of course - excellent): Jon's practical knowledge and guidance, particularly on one to one and slightly more formal sessions; time on specific exercises (portrait vs landscape, water, composition as a group); Jon's personality - he's clearly a very talented photographer and a nice guy; post production tricks; the fact that I go away feeling much more comfortable with my camera. A good course - I'd come to another with Jon.
