This is a one-day introduction for those who would like to keep a few sheep and will be led by Alan Adcock (click on his name to see more about him).

The topics covered will be:  Why keep sheep?  How many?  Which breed?  How do I start?  To breed or just to fatten, or for pets?  Maintenance - cleaning, worming, shearing etc.  Some of the problems.  Laws concerning sheep, and those for having an organic flock.

We hope to have lambs for you to handle at this time of the year, from our resident Cheviot flock.  And we shall also be demonstrating how to up-end an adult sheep and clip its hooves.
