Jayne Drinkwater

Jayne Drinkwater spent 20 years in the
computer industry before she ‘discovered’ sheep by rehoming 2 Soay lambs from
the animal shelter. Having discovered they were Rare Breed sheep, further
investigation exposed the wonders and variety of sheep available. The purchase
of an old pear orchard enabled Jayne to expand her flock and she now runs 40
head with a mixture of Leicester Longwool, Manx Loghtan, Soay, a Jacob and some
cross breeds. The Wool Board are not interested in coloured fleeces so Jayne
decided to add value by spinning the wool, a talent she is keen to share along
with her enthusiasm for sheep and Rare Breeds in particular.
